1. What type of files do you accept?
As far as possible we prefer a step or iges file for quoting along with a 2D engineering drawing with key dimensions and tolerances detailed.
For 3D printing an .obj or .stl is needed. We can quote some projects from a 2D drawing only but this is generally more time consuming.
2. How long will it take to receive a quote?
For all prototype projects projects, we strive to send out quotes within 24 hours.
When it comes to injection molding, production, and export tooling, the quotation will typically be ready within 3 days. Occasionally, there are certain processes and materials that HL Parts doesn't handle in-house. In such cases, it might extend the time needed for the quotation, and we'll make sure to point them out whenever they occur.
